M. Soccer Injuries: Shea O.K., Taylor Still Uncertain

by Nathaniel Lowenthal
Boston University Terriers junior back Matthew Shea (’11) was apparently injured in Wednesday night’s 2-1 loss to the University of New Hampshire Wildcats. With about 30 minutes to play in the first half, Shea (’11) left the game with seemed to be a leg injury after colliding with a Wildcat on the far sideline. He did not return. Head Coach Neil Roberts, however, says that Shea should be alright. “He should be fine, he just got shaken up,” Roberts said.
Roberts was also optimistic on the return of senior forward and co-captain Shaun Taylor (‘10). Taylor (’10) has been inactive for all but one game this season, and there have been rumors of him possibly taking a medical redshirt this season. Roberts believes that Taylor could make it back this season though. Calling upon his “inner Bill Belichick,” Roberts said briefly, “We’re hoping, we’re hoping, day by day.”
