Terrier Hockey Update: Parker Orders A Preseason Remodeling Job at Agganis

So here's your hilarious news item of the day...

According to a source familiar with the situation, last week Boston University hockey head coach Jack Parker demanded that the rink at Agganis Arena be redone. Parker was apparently displeased with the center-ice logo and had the Agganis maintenance crew tear up the entire sheet of ice to replace it. Yes, this happened.

The process took an entire week, and confined the Terriers to working out in Walter Brown Arena for the 7-day period. Yes, this happened.

Fortunately, the fresh ice should be ready in plenty of time for the Terriers to begin official practice sessions on October 1st, and to host an exhibition against St. Francis Xavier on October 3rd. At the moment, it cannot be said exactly what logo so displeased the reigning national coach of the year. However, especially because the ice has been dubbed "Jack Parker Rink," the legendary bench boss shouldn't have to answer to anybody on the matter. And he didn't. Yes, this happened.
