6:30- Welcome out to Nickerson Field for today's non-conference game between the #14 Boston University Terriers and the Providence College Friars. We'll be back to provide the starting lineups shortly, and to bring you coverage from every angle tonight during the game.

Terriers Shaun Taylor is again out with a foot injury and is in a walking boot. His return will not be tonight.
7:08- Terriers have controlled possession for most of the game, but Matt Marcin of PC has fired the first shot off a lob. Easy save for Davidsson.
7:15- 14 Minutes in, still no great chances for either squad. The Friars have been called for 3 offsides though, despite some conservative play. Might be playing for the tie on the road.
7:20- BU GOAL! First shot fired by BU is a goal, as Samuel Appiah streaks down the left side of the box beating 4 defenders and blasting a shot by GK Timothy Murray. Assist to Berube, but Appiah's speed was the main reason for that goal.
7:26- BU GOAL! Aaron O'Neal strikes for the Terriers off a nice no look between the legs pass from Michael Bustamante. A one touch goal for O'Neal, his 3rd of the season from about 16 yards out in the box from the left side. What a pass by Bustamante, if this game was on television we would have a top play nominee for Bustamante's pass.
7:30- A bit of a scuffle as John Raley came close to blows with Ben Havey. Punches may have been thrown, but no cards were given. A testy battle for sure the rest of the way, as it has been very physical for the first 30 minutes of the game.
7:40- Members of BU's Dog Pound are booing Raley anytime he touches the ball. Good to see school spirit at games that don't involve the men's hockey team.
7:49- As the first half comes to a close not much has changed. BU still able to control the very physical play. Both shots on goal this half for the Terriers went in. Back with more in a bit.
8:10- The 2nd half is underway as not much has changed in the style of play to start the half for either squad. The Terriers continue to control the ball as they try to extend their lead.
8:12- Roy Sandeman trips up Aaron O'Neal and receives a yellow. He tripped him about 3 yards to the right of the goal box in the lower corner. Bustamante let one rip off the free kick but Murray was able to record his first save of the evening.
8:26- One thing the Terriers have done an excellent job of tonight is limiting the touches and time Friars foward Timothy Ritter has had with the ball. Ritter is the regining Big East offensive POW, and so far has not had any daylight to create because of the Terriers effort on defense tonight.
8:33- The best scoring chance of the second half just happened. Samuel Appiah looking for goal #2 tonight took a pass and shot with his left foot from the middle of the goal box. Nice save by Murray by knocking down and controlling the strike.
8:39- BU GOAL. Aaron O'Neal gets #4 on the year. Michael Bustamante made 2 Friar defenders look like a Washington General against the Harlem Globetrotters. Bustamante was able to cross up and jump over two separate defenders. He then crossed the ball past Samuel Appiah to where Aaron O'Neal was able to pick up the ball, take a step, and blast a shot off his left foot to give the Terriers a 3-0 lead. It seems like Coach Roberts squad is going to open up their home campaign with an easy victory tonight with 10 minutes remaining.
