BREAKING NEWS: Shaun Taylor Considering Medical Red Shirt (and a Havey update)

According to a source familiar with the situation, senior Boston University men’s soccer captain Shaun Taylor ('10), who has been sidelined with a foot injury all season, was considering taking a medical red shirt. However, Taylor was walking without the help of a protective boot for the first time in weeks during the Wednesday game against Holy Cross and according to coach Neil Roberts is set to begin training this week. Roberts said he hopes Taylor can rejoin the team by the time conference play begins.
If Taylor does not respond well to training or has a setback before taking part in a game, the true senior does have the option of taking a medical red shirt to use his final year of eligibility.
Junior midfielder Ben Havey ('11) rode the stationary bike throughout the entire game to get his conditioning up to the level where Coach Roberts hopes he can play by the weekend.
