Women's Hockey Injury Updates
by Jeremy Binckes
- Freshman forward Holly Lorms underwent surgery today to repair a "fracture and dislocation" of her right wrist, according to Boston University head coach Brian Durocher. She will miss an estimated 6-8 weeks.
Lorms injured her wrist in the middle of the first period on Tuesday, November 20th in Maine. After the game, her wrist was set twice and casted when she got back to Boston.
"It was a case of two kids looking back at the puck and not seeing each other," Durocher said. "No malicious intent there."
Lorms is tied for third on the team with 3 goals, and also has an assist. Lorms was mainly paired with freshman Lauren Cherwyck and junior Laurel Koller, until Cherwyck was moved to the first line.
- Junior forward Caroline Bordeau will "most likely" be in the lineup this weekend against University of New Hampshire on Saturday, as well as against Vermont on Sunday, according to Durocher. Bordeau missed the last two games after straining ligaments in her knee in a collision on November 16th against St. Cloud State University.
